Does it leave you feeling frustrated and discouraged because you’re not seeing your efforts turn into real cash flow?

My Internet Business has been TAGGED!

By · August 21, 2008 · Filed in Personal Branding · 4 Comments »

It has been a crazy week as school started in our household. I officially have a high schooler, 9th grader (boy) and a 2nd grader (boy) and my pre-schooler (girl) wishes she was in K-garden! LOL My high schooler has already lost his books! Well they were STOLEN, per his story but the reason they were stolen is really bad decision making on his part. He asked us if he could to go to a friend’s house after school last Friday. We know this friend and their parents very well so it wasn’t a problem. I didn’t know that I should have told him to make sure he brings his backpack with him. Common sense, right? NO! He puts all of his books and backpack (SUPER DURABILITY LANDS END backpack, can ya tell I’m ticked? LOL) in an UNLOCKED P.E. LOCKER over the weekend!

Then my 2nd grader gets changed over to a new class after I was soo happy with his current teacher and the boys that are high achievers in his class. I was thrilled to learn that there were so many peers w/high intellect surrounding him in class only to find out that he was yanked to another class w/a teacher that will clash w/his personality. After my husband & I met w/the principal, we decided we will try this teacher as she highly recommends her after careful study and a long extensive talk w/his 1st grade teacher.  The move was due to overcrowding of 3rd graders and shifts needed to be made. Whew! I’m tired and it’s only week 2!

That’s just a quick update into my world. In other news, I was tagged by Mindless Mommy for a meme! It’s fun! Here are the rules…

The Rules (and these were NOT made to be broken, got it?)

1. Link the person who tagged you in a new blog post.
2. Mention the rules on your blog.
3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks you possess.
4. Tag 6 following bloggers by linking them.
5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged. Here are my 6 quirks:

  1. I always turn down the radio when I can’t find an address while driving
  2. I am a social networking and forum addict
  3. I sleep w/my mouth open often
  4. I hate when someone turns the radio down or off while driving (especially my kids)
  5. I’m always reading 4-5 books at the same time
  6. Lipstick is like chapstick to me, I gotta have it or my lips feel chapped!

Now to tag six fellow bloggers for a meme.

Osain “Lightning” Bolt Sets New World Record

I haven’t had much luck trying to record various events of the Olympics on my DVR. I recorded a few events a few weeks ago and I didn’t realize it was the Olympic trials. I attempted to record gymnastics a few days ago but when I watched it, it said Gymnastics in Canada in 2007? What in the world am I doing wrong? I guess I’m not doing the right search on my DVR. By the time I figure it out, the Olympics will be over! I see that I have to call Time Warner Cable and find out what is the problem.

I have a love for gymnastics and track and field as I’ve been actively involved in both as a child. That is just to name a few sports. I started out with T-ball, which then evolved into softball. I can’t forget bowling which surprisingly, I have the biggest trophies from that particular sport. For some reason, I just didn’t like soccer but basketball soon took over and was my favorite of all. I became involved with volleyball and track in my later high school years. I wish I would have started earlier because I did so well in both sports that with more time to perfect my skills, I could have been a city champion in the hurdles. But I digress, let’s get back to reality and my frustration at not being able to record any of the Olympics.

I had to find out about a new world record that was set in Track and Field from someone else. Osain “Lightning” Bolt won the gold for the 100 meter race in 9.79 seconds. I wish that I could be that much at ease while running this race called life. He seemed to run the race so effortlessly and full of grace. We have ups and downs in business and in life and my goal is to handle success and failure with as much grace as Osain Bolt. Be a lightning bolt in life and watch where it takes you. You may just set a new world record.

Positive Thinking to Grow Your Internet Business

By · August 13, 2008 · Filed in Think & Grow Rich · 3 Comments »

Positive or negative emotions come into our minds often. The mind is a powerful tool that can determine your success or failure in anything that you set out to to do.  The idea of auto-suggestion or self-suggestion is a way of telling your subconscious mind how to take information per Napoleon Hill’s, Think and Grow Rich. Positive and negative emotions cannot occupy the mind at the same time, one or the other must dominate. It is our responsibility to make sure that positive thoughts are influencing our minds.  There are 7 major, most powerful positive emotions that we need to master to keep the negative emotions out of our subconscious minds. There are also 7 major negative emotions that we need to do everything we can to keep away from.

The 7 Major Positive Emotions

DESIRE
FAITH
LOVE
SEX
ENTHUSIASM
ROMANCE
HOPE

The 7 Major Negative Emotions

FEAR
JEALOUSY
HATRED
REVENGE
GREED
SUPERSTITION
ANGER

Form the habit of applying these positive emotions so that the negative ones will not enter and you will not only see success in your business but in your relationships and in life. Make it a positive day!

Internet Marketing Companies – What is all the Hype?

By · August 11, 2008 · Filed in Internet Marketing Strategies · 5 Comments »

I’m still recovering from my weekend. Whew! You know that you are in trouble when you look forward to the weekdays to recover from your weekend. I had a great time but I just had too much going on this weekend. I had a 3 yr old princess party that I took my kiddos too, a Wii party (now that was fun! I actually played Wii Fit and took over from all the kids), my dad was in town for a business trip and stopped by for a few hours, went to church, met up w/my USC college roommate w/her nephew and my kids and went to a water park and went to a Raven Simone signing. I’m tired just thinking about what we did! This blog post has been simmering in my mind since last week and I have had no time to sit down and write this darn thing until now.

There has been a lot of buzz about internet marketing and certain companies in the lime light that are in trouble or under investigation, from ASD Cash Generator to Liberty League International, it can make one more skeptical about all of these home based businesses and internet marketing companies. As a college graduate and working in corporate America for 10 years as an engineer now turned entrepreneur, I’ve been one of those many that have been skeptical of all the hype such as

Make Big Bucks w/Very Little Work!

          I Made $10,745.36 in 1 week!

I mean, come on, I’m a believer in hard work after all I have an engineering degree but these claims leave out that some of these people have built their contact list or downline for years! It may take them one email to send out to thousands of people who might be interested in their new opportunity. For those people that may not have these resources, it will take time to build their interest list. I say to these people, if you can follow directions, then you can be successful with My Internet Business.

What I have found in My Internet Business is even more of a legitimate gold mine opportunity. There are step by step tasks to implement on a daily basis from day one in the back office. The product library is incredible from various ways to make money on the internet to promoting your business. Of course I can’t forget the Net Millionaire Game which is very similar to Robert Kiyosaki’s game but geared towards internet marketers. My husband and I play with each other but we still plan to setup our first big Net Millionaire party. There are even interviews from 50+ millionaires in the back office to help you to be successful.
So the idea of working hard and smart so your business can work for you is still very true. You still have to put in the time and effort especially in the beginning to create the income stream that you desire. Whether you need to start part-time or can afford to start full-time in this business, take the time to work so eventually your business can work hard for you.
