Hi Naomi.
It’s good that you are talking about relationship marketing here. This is what I’ve been preaching online for years. Whether your business is offline or online makes no difference. You’ve got to build trust first before you try to sell anything. People don’t normally buy from strangers so what makes anyone think they can just blast out an ad and get results? Sure you might make a sale or two but how many ads are you going to send first? It might seem like building a relationship with people first takes more time but really it’s sending out ads that makes it take longer. People ignore them. So taking the time to build a good relationship is worth the time it takes. Do that first then you can start to ask them to take a look at what you’re doing or they will ask you themselves what you’re doing and it’s way better than sending random ads to strangers.
