Millionaire Entrepreneur Women Conference Part II
It has been 2 weeks since I attended The Millionaire Entrepreneur Women Conference 2010.
I shared in my previous part I review that I would elaborate on more speakers and topics.
This post will feature the lessons that I learned from the event coordinators Jill Lublin and Debbie Allen.
Jill Lublin
Praised as a modern-day Dale Carnegie for how to be influential, Jill Lublin authored Get Noticed… Get Referrals: Build Your Client Base and Your Business by Making a Name for Yourself (McGraw-Hill, June 2008).
She is also the coauthor of the national bestselling books, Networking Magic which rose to #1 on the Barnes and Noble charts for three weeks, and Guerrilla Publicity, the PR bible, which is also reached bestseller status.
Jill is the founder of GoodNews Media, Inc. and hosts the TV program, Messages of Hope, and the nationally syndicated radio show, Do the Dream. In addition she has created two audio programs, three DVD training videos, and a workbook.
Jill is a popular international speaker who teaches powerful publicity, networking, and how to be influential techniques. As the CEO of the strategic consulting firm, Promising Promotion, Jill has trained companies in innovative techniques to improve bottom line results. In the past twenty years, she has worked with ABC, NBC, CBS, and other national media, and knows what the media wants.
Jill has been featured in The New York Times, Women’s Day, Fortune Small Business, Inc, and Entrepreneur Magazine, and on ABC and NBC radio and TV national affiliates.
It’s All About Your Message
Jill started out by sharing the need to get your message heard. Be an expert in your particular area of expertise and help to solve problems for your target market. Here are a few key points that stood out to me the most:
Create Your Ooohh Aaahh Factor
Make it happen so that people take notice of your business and are determined to find out more about you.
I’ve Heard Of You Somewhere
Social media is definitely a place to be found everywhere but it’s important to create a presence where you seem to be everywhere.
Attend Networking Events in Your Community (2X / month) I have been having a lot of fun with this by attending the LA Twitter Conference, LA Twestival and numerous mortgage & real estate marketing related online events.
Become a Celebrity In Your Own Backyard
As you attend more events in your local community, network in a way that helps you to stand out and make a difference in your industry.
Debbie Allen
Debbie Allen, CSP has built and sold numerous highly successful companies in diverse industries. Buying a small fledgling retail business with no retail experience is not a wise move for most people, yet Debbie was determined to make it work.
Within three years she turned her new passion for retail into a highly successful company, growing it 10 times over to a multi-million dollar business with multiple locations.
After 15 years in the retail industry she sold her successful stores and began her speaking business. She now has presented before thousands of people in 16 countries around the world. Debbie is one of less than 5% of professional women speakers worldwide to have achieved the honor of CSP, Certified Speaking Professional by both the National Speakers and International Speakers Federations.
Debbie is a best selling author of five books on business and personal development including Confessions of Shameless Self Promoters and Skyrocketing Sales. Her expertise has been featured in dozens of publications including, Entrepreneur, Selling Power and Sales & Marketing Excellence. She is also a regularly featured columnist in Personal Branding Magazine and has been featured in five motivational movies including The Opus, The Compass and The VOW (Voices of Women).
Debbie has been an entrepreneur since the young age of 19. She will share with you her grassroots, down-to-earth entrepreneurial strategies for building wealth in diverse industries. She will show YOU can make it ALL Possible too!
Promote Shamelessly
I really loved Debbie Allen sharing to allow yourself to be worthy. It’s okay to share your work and expertise. It is our responsibility to think, act and respond like an expert in our field. Here are the top key notes that stood out to me:
Pay Attention to Top 5 People That You Admire
It is vital to have mentors to follow their examples to grow in our business.
Be More Resilient
Don’t allow situations to deter you from your goals.
Have More Disciplined Action
Cross off those items on your TO DO list as you accomplish them on a daily basis. Make it happen!
Cope With Risk
There are definitely risks in any business. Be willing to step out on the edge in your business.
Jill & Debbie did an INCREDIBLE job of putting this event together and I look forward to the next event in the future.
3 Solutions For The Real Estate Industry
In my previous post, I shared that I went on stage and shared a problem in the real estate industry and 3 ways to solve them. After the event, I completed the design of my ebook for Social Media Real Estate Marketing and I’m very excited to share the release of my ebook which is now available for purchase by clicking on the image below.
This ebook is the answer to the problem that I stated on stage that has been helping my team. I feel the need to share it with other real estate professionals. I have been receiving incredible feedback as well as numerous teaching offers, guest posting offers for major mortgage publications to being asked to speak to realtor associations.

The problem:
There are many real estate professionals leaving the industry due to the real estate meltdown
3 Solutions:
Become a local expert
Engage with your clients
Attend Networking Events
I truly enjoyed all of the golden nuggets of wisdom that I gleaned from all of these incredible women.
I will be sure to keep you posted on any future events as I’m made aware of them.

Millionaire Entrepreneur Women Conference Review
I had the amazing opportunity to attend another inaugural event this past weekend, The Millionaire Entrepreneur Women Conference 2010.
There was incredible energy that only women can create. There was vulnerability about what holds women back in their business as well as magnificent tips and strategies to overcome these obstacles. I even got up on stage and shared a problem about the real estate and mortgage industry and 3 ways to overcome that problem. It was a spur of the moment decision but I have been in front of 200 women before so it wasn’t too much of a challenge.
I will share those 3 solutions after I discuss the most impacting parts of the program at least for me and my guest, Dana Sarbeck my best bud and former roommate from USC and owner of PR company Wildfire Public Relations.
She has incredible clients but she is having a hard time breaking through to hire more people. She has to have control of everything or nothing will get done right in her mind.
This conference and of course our talks in between breaks helped her confidence and growth in pushing past this obstacle in her business. Both of our favorite part of the conference was definitely the Marketing To The Affluent presentation by Kelly O’Neil. I have 7 PAGES of NOTES just from her presentation alone!
Kelly started off with an AWESOME Animoto video about why it is important to go after the affluent market since the middle market has drastically disappeared. She starts by saying exactly what my mindset has been:
“I am not participating in the current recession” and
“The economy is just a redistribution of wealth from the timid to the brave”
“There are Riches In Niches”
Are you listening to the media? Are you listening to the hype and buying into it?
People are spending money in today’s market but are you placing yourself strategically in front of these people?
It is important to understand what makes affluent people tick. It was very interesting and hilarious to hear her very affluent lifestyle growing up and relating that mindset to her strategy. After reading The No BS Guide to Marketing To The Affluent by Dan Kennedy, a light bulb went off in her head and Marketing To Millionaires was born. Here are the key points that stood out to me:
People Continually Buy 3 Things
- Ways to Make More Money
- Ways to Transform Their Life or Business
- Ways to Feel More Empowered
Ways To Promote Client Retention
- Provide HIGH Value
- Provide EXCEPTIONAL Service to EXISTING Clients (80% to current client base, 20% spent finding new clients)
- Ask your target market WHAT they want (It’s about THEM, not about YOU)
- Find out what your current clients like personally and surprise them
3 Things The Affluent Are Eager For:
- Efficiency
- Competence
- Convenience
Her strategy is working because she has people paying her 100K for her Diamond program and I sat next to one of her clients at lunch that is currently in her 35K Platinum program. People are paying for high ticket programs so the question is, are you getting in front of them?
The biggest thing that I took away is that I need to work on my Contextual Pricing Strategy which is a fancy word for my consulting rate sheet. I need to have a better break down for my various services. She shared her different levels of service and of course the price goes up for the more hands on approach and time spent with her one on one.
Now do you see why I have 7 pages of notes?
Ok, on to the next speaker – Barbara De Angelis Ph.D. who is one of the most influential teachers of our time in the field of relationships and personal growth.
For the past twenty-five years, she has reached tens of millions of people throughout the world with her positive messages about love, happiness and the search for meaning in our lives.
She is a transformation coach for those that are having a hard time breaking through obstacles in life and in business. Personally, I don’t have any obstacles right now so her presentation didn’t really stand out to me as much.
However, I really appreciated a few quotes from her:
“Law of Expansion & Contraction – Your every thought either expands or contracts your mind”
Her business card says the next quote that I really love:
Oh yes, I can totally relate to this quote! I have so many new clients in my real estate and mortgage business from using social media.
I also have so many mortgage brokers and real estate agents calling me from all over the United States and Canada for social media consults.
I also have a social media ebook for mortgage and real estate that will be released on Amazon.com in the coming weeks!
My Time Is Now And I am READY!
Wow, this post is pretty long already. It looks like I need to make this a 2 parter. Stay tuned for Part II of The Millionaire Entrepreneur Women Conference Review in the next few days. I will also share my 3 solutions for the real estate and mortgage industry in that next post. For now, what are you working on the most in your business? Let us know in the comments.
